Members of our information technology (IT) team do more than code and QA all day. Our organic, homegrown approach to IT means that we have built—not bought—most of our applications. This gives us greater flexibility to add features and implement new technology, all in a setting where everyone’s ideas are sought out, heard and valued.
Our tech folks partner with cross-functional teams to build high performance, architecturally sound and scalable systems that align to the needs of Provide Commerce’s ever-changing business. Employees have the unique opportunity to see firsthand the results of their work as our platform expands to handle the rapid growth in the e-commerce arena. There is no hesitation about trying new technologies that can positively impact our work and our end users’ experience.
In an effort to produce a consistent, robust technology platform, we encourage employees to learn and utilize new technologies. Our infrastructure was designed to enable us to focus on innovation rather than fixing broken or unreliable code.
In order to make smart business decisions, we rely on the analytics to be our “internal consultants” to the business and interpret data, translate insights and devise recommendations to consistently have a positive impact on our business.
This can involve designing, implementing and examining test results, as well as providing critical information to make organizational decisions. Analytics covers areas such as:
Forecasting (financial as well as detailed operational levels)
Price and offer testing, analysis, and optimization
Marketing channel analysis and optimization
Demand management (optimizing and aligning demand to customer objectives, financial targets, and operational constraints)
Merchandise assortment analysis
Customer analysis and behavioral drivers
Testing can cut across multiple functions or relate to functions that don’t otherwise have the required analytics resources. This team often acts as a critical partner and supporting function for the marketing, finance, supply chain operations, and merchandising departments.
In short, the analytics team does more than crunch numbers. They provide the foundation to take action that evolves and improves Provide Commerce as a whole.
This team is responsible for generating nearly half of the organization’s revenue and plays an integral role in the day-to-day operations of the business. The department manages online and offline channels such as TV, print, email, radio, PPC, display, SEO, social media, affiliates, shopping feeds, and more.
Unlike other companies of our size, we do almost everything internally. This gives us complete transparency on marketing effectiveness, costs and other details that often become cloudy when working with an agency or third party. We know our company best—that’s why we are happy to promote it ourselves.
E-commerce is a constantly evolving and growing channel. The proliferation of new marketing opportunities is what makes this group exciting and fun, but also incredibly challenging. The rise of social and mobile, along with group buying and other new customer channels, offer new challenges and opportunities.
Our overall level of analytics is rigorous and invigorating. We understand instrumentality, cost per order, lifetime value, and other metrics down to the cent. This knowledge allows us to optimize spending activities and associated revenue in near real-time over peak periods.
In addition to the Acquisition marketing team, we have a data-driven Retention crew that leverages internal and external purchase, demographic and psychographic customer information to best understand the cadence, offer creative and come up with the right message for each customer group.
Simply stated, this is the team that comprehends our customers’ needs and develops marketing plans to trigger repeat purchases while cultivating loyalty.
Supply Chain Operations
Supply Chain Operations
Provide Commerce was born out of the dream of disrupting the supply chain in the floral industry and we haven’t slowed down yet! Our supply chain specialists orchestrate planning, inventory management, logistics, fulfillment, quality assurance, and technology to deliver a truly engaging customer experience.
Unlike some companies where operational functions are viewed as cost centers or seen as a “necessary evil,” we view operations as a true source of innovation. Supply chain activities are a critical competitive differentiator for our brands. Planning and executing supply chain strategies for peak holidays is an ongoing challenge…one we accept with open arms.
Our customers count on us the most during peak times, so we’ve assembled a team of smart and creative people to help find new ways to continually improve our service. For example, when Valentine’s Day fell on a Sunday, we were challenged with building a delivery network with FedEx to create the first-ever Sunday delivery program. It’s that kind of disruptive innovation and savvy problem-solving that makes us a premium e-commerce retailer.
This department handles creative marketing across our business channels by providing product photography, website designs, email copywriting and design, banner ad production, and catalog design, layout and production.
Our team covers both Web and print design. We handle end-to-end photo services from creative concept development to shooting, direction, image editing, and color management using all of the latest tools and state-of-the-art techniques.
This team has the perfect blend of inspiration and creativity that gives the Provide Commerce brands a distinctive edge.
“Opinions are valued here. It doesn't matter if you're talking to the CEO or an SVP; if you have a concern you can speak up.”
- Matt G, Gourmet Foods Marketing Director

Following the mission of each brand, Merchandising ensures that every product delights customers and drives profitability.
Our team is always on the lookout for the “next big thing.” In the course of our work, we meet plenty of vendors; part of our job is to sample their wares and find those that meet our high standards for quality.

This team collaborates with various departments internally, assessing customer experience issues and fostering communication—all with a customer-centric focus. To ensure customer satisfaction, we empower our Customer Service crew to take ownership of every interaction; something that most companies reserve for supervisors and above. We’re able to confidently do so because of our company’s strong product, delivery and commitment to making each transaction right. Provide Commerce customers enjoy a personalized, accommodating customer experience—one that our team members enjoy providing, too.
During peak times, associates have the opportunity able to step into more senior roles that allow them to grow while being exposed to other areas of our business and are key to our success in ramping up for peaks. Our members make working fun, and enjoy a collective work setting that brings out their specific talents and strengths.
Here's what one of our customers had to say:
“I wanted give kudos to your Representative, Jenn, who recently processed my order. Her customer service, level of commitment, engagement and overall attitude were outstanding. Even on a Sunday evening! I normally utilize your website to place my orders, but with this particular order I felt more comfortable speaking with a Representative. Jenn was very quick to access my account and apply the correct discounts, as well as providing much appreciated insightful and reassuring feedback. She was a pleasure to work with and a credit to your Company. Outstanding customer service should not go unnoticed or appreciated, which is why I am providing this feedback.”
