Testing can cut across multiple functions or relate to functions that don’t otherwise have the required analytics resources. This team often acts as a critical partner and supporting function for the marketing, finance, supply chain operations, and merchandising departments.
In short, the analytics team does more than crunch numbers. They provide the foundation to take action that evolves and improves Provide Commerce as a whole.
This team is responsible for generating nearly half of the organization’s revenue and plays an integral role in the day-to-day operations of the business. The department manages online and offline channels such as TV, print, email, radio, PPC, display, SEO, social media, affiliates, shopping feeds, and more.
Unlike other companies of our size, we do almost everything internally. This gives us complete transparency on marketing effectiveness, costs and other details that often become cloudy when working with an agency or third party. We know our company best—that’s why we are happy to promote it ourselves.
E-commerce is a constantly evolving and growing channel. The proliferation of new marketing opportunities is what makes this group exciting and fun, but also incredibly challenging. The rise of social and mobile, along with group buying and other new customer channels, offer new challenges and opportunities.
Our overall level of analytics is rigorous and invigorating. We understand instrumentality, cost per order, lifetime value, and other metrics down to the cent. This knowledge allows us to optimize spending activities and associated revenue in near real-time over peak periods.
In addition to the Acquisition marketing team, we have a data-driven Retention crew that leverages internal and external purchase, demographic and psychographic customer information to best understand the cadence, offer creative and come up with the right message for each customer group.

Planning and executing supply chain strategies for peak holidays is an ongoing challenge…one we accept with open arms.
Our customers count on us the most during peak times, so we’ve assembled a team of smart and creative people to help find new ways to continually improve our service. For example, when Valentine’s Day fell on a Sunday, we were challenged with building a delivery network with FedEx to create the first-ever Sunday delivery program. This department handles creative marketing across our business channels by providing product photography, website designs, email copywriting and design, banner ad production, and catalog design, layout and production.
Our team covers both Web and print design. We handle end-to-end photo services from creative concept development to shooting, direction, image editing, and color management using all of the latest tools and state-of-the-art techniques.

Our brand-specific Merchandising teams are responsible for assembling the portfolio of products offered by each Provide Commerce brand. Our merchandising pros handle everything from product design to development, integrating market trends and analytical tools so they meet our customers’ demands and desires. This team is tasked with delivering an exceptional customer experience during the shopping and purchase processes. From User Experience Designers and Web Analysts to Mobile and Product Management Specialists, this team is charged with creating and maintaining the user interface of our websites in support of engaging and compelling user experiences across all devices.
Provide Commerce has one of the most robust site-testing programs of any e-commerce company which turns data and customer insights into smart decision-making to further boost UX and UI. Each Provide Commerce website is one of the highest converting in the retail e-commerce industry. We strive to understand and implement techniques that convert “browsers” into buyers while developing a branded site experience that showcases our products in a captivating, customer-centric way. As technology continues to evolve, we need to progress along with it—this team makes sure we’re always one step ahead of what’s next.
This team serves as a “Center of Excellence” at Provide Commerce, facilitating the company’s merchandising excellence from product development all the way through on-site merchandising, and beyond to customer loyalty.
The consumer experience team originates marketing programs that drive sales by inspiring target consumers. This team works directly with merchandising, content/social, consumer insights/research, and creative crew in order to reach the most important customer segments. Ultimately, they’re responsible for developing and implementing a strong, effective customer journey so each customer gets more than a great product—they get a fabulous experience, too.
Customer Service is the soul of our operations and is the central location for all customer contact including emails, calls, chat, and social media relations.
This team collaborates with various departments internally, assessing customer experience issues and fostering communication—all with a customer-centric focus. To ensure customer satisfaction, we empower our Customer Service crew to take ownership of every interaction; something that most companies reserve for supervisors and above. We’re able to confidently do so because of our company’s strong product, delivery and commitment to making each transaction right. This team is responsible for all accounting and finance operations for each Provide Commerce brand, and the company as a whole. Our duties include financial reporting, budgeting, variance analysis, processing payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, taxes, insurance, banking relationships, and cash management.
Financial reporting is done on a monthly basis, both internally and to our parent company, Liberty Interactive. Having started as a private company, our team has a wealth of experience. We completed a successful IPO, became fully SOX compliant, completed a secondary offering, and facilitated the acquisition of all outstanding stock of the company’s stock by Liberty Media (now Liberty Interactive). We’ve also integrated accounting functions from several corporate acquisitions and currently manage accounting for three subsidiaries, in addition to the parent company.
Every accounting group has the same basic functions, but Provide Commerce is full of people who want to succeed and will do what it takes to get the job done. Our team has high values and strives for accuracy as well as transparency.

Our top-notch legal team handles all legal issues ranging from commercial contracts, litigation, and mergers and acquisitions to governmental compliance, intellectual property, real estate leasing, Internet law, human resources, and corporate matters. Legal also leads the public affairs for the business.
The legal department acts as a business partner with the organization, providing pertinent legal counsel and shaping the company’s corporate public presence.
